EPUB Tools

Tools for working with EPUB files without installing anything. Open an EPUB to read it, check that its structure is sound, change its title, author or cover, pull out its text, or build a new EPUB from plain text, images, a Word document or HTML. The files are processed in your browser and are not uploaded.

Tools in this group

  • EPUB Metadata Editor — Open an EPUB, change its title, authors, language, publisher, description, subjects, date, series or cover, and save a new .epub. The original is untouched and nothing is uploaded.
  • EPUB reader online — Choose an EPUB file (or try the sample) and read it right here, chapter by chapter, with a table of contents, search, text size and light, dark or sepia pages.
  • EPUB to Kindle — Open your EPUB (or try the sample) to check its size, version, DRM and metadata against the Send to Kindle and KDP rules Amazon's pages state; no MOBI conversion is offered.
  • EPUB to text — Choose an EPUB (or try the sample) to get its full text in reading order, with optional chapter headings and contents, ready to download as a .txt or copy.
  • EPUB Validator — Choose an EPUB file and see its structural errors and warnings at once, each with the specification section it comes from. This is a basic structure check, not EPUBCheck, and your file never leaves your browser.
  • HTML to EPUB — Paste HTML or choose one or more .html files. The tool removes scripts, styles and other unsafe parts, splits chapters at your headings and lists what it removed.
  • PNG to EPUB Converter — Choose your PNG, JPG, GIF or WebP pictures, put them in order, and get an EPUB with one picture per page, as a reflowable or fixed-layout book. Your pictures are stored unchanged.
  • TXT to EPUB — Paste your text or choose a .txt file, pick how chapters are found, add a title, author and optional cover, and download a ready EPUB. The sample shows a three-chapter book at once.
  • Word to EPUB — Choose a Word .docx file to get an EPUB with chapters, lists, tables, links and pictures. The page tells you exactly what was not converted, such as footnotes and text boxes.
